The church is arranged by God for good and growth through ministry to one another:
Ephesians 4:15-16
"Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love."
Discussion Questions:
First Sermon Point: We grow together in Christ by speaking the truth in love.
1. Kids, how do we speak the truth in love with your parents?
2. Parents, how do you speak the truth in with your children?
3. Kids, is it ok to speak truth without love?
a. Is it ok to talk back to your parents? To your teachers?
b. Are you speaking the truth in love when you talk about someone behind their back?
4. Kids, are you loving your dad or your mom or your brother or your sister or friends by not speaking the truth?
Second Sermon Point: We make the body grow together in Christ by being (or living) how he made us.
1. Kids, do you believe that God made you for a purpose? That you are neither an accident nor a mistake?
2. Do you know the gifts, skills, and abilities that God gave you?
3. Do you speak encouraging words to your brother or sister or classmates? Or, do you insult them with your words and actions?
4. What does it look like for you be (or live) how God made you?
